front suspension cylinder top foam mounting is falling to bits |

I would like information about why the top of my front suspension has foam pieces around it that is falling to bits. What causes this to happen? Is there a sensible remedy to this? |

The cause is most likely age and exposure to the elements. The ONLY remedy is replacing the complete strut. |

Thanks Mike. It seems that a FIX ought to be available somewhere as there is nothing else wrong with strut : Is this a design defect of the C6? (never seen anything else like this part failure in any other vehicle.) |
