May I ask for assistance in choosing / purchasing the best and most appropriate DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM for my 2006 C6? Is is DIAGBOX Version v7.57 or v7.62. or v7.68 ??? I cannot find LEXIA (as a stand alone) available anywhere . Is Lexia available? (If so, is there a version number or simply Lexia 1, 2 or 3? ) Thank you! I really need information about this. |

The C6 was designed early 2000's and your car is an early one in the build run. Have a read of this post on the subject: - Click Here - |

It's been some years since I had access to any Citroen Diagnostic Software however looking back in the forum and in particular this post: - Click Here - I ended up with Lexia 3 instal and Diagbox v7. Just try and make sure it's not a Chinese Clone you buy as the cables on those were not the best quality and caused some issues |

They come 'bundled' with cables etc as per this eBay UK example: - Click Here - US examples seem more expensive and beware you just don't get the cables as with some adverts |

The ebay suppliers are now advertising version 9.186 of Diagbox. I have read somewhere (French Car Forum ?) that as new model vehicles are added to Diagbox/ Lexia some functionality for older cars is being reduced. If this is the case should I buy an older version? V7 seems to be mentioned here a lot. My current car is a 2010 C6 2.2 and I need to adjust suspension height. By the way, I contacted a Cit/ Pug specialist locally and he said that Stellantis are merging all their makes onto one system and consequently he has temporarily lost the ability to connect to their system during this. Presumably the clones which we can buy do not need to do this? A daft question - All of the posts and downloads for setting suspension height seem to refer to cars with AMVAR, i.e. 4 height sensors. Does Lexia recognise non AMVAR cars using VIN number? Advice from any Lexia users would be very helpful!! |

The C6 was launched in2005 and the last car built in 2012, 12 years ago and in reality is no longer supported by Citroën so it's quite likely that support for older models will be dropped from new versions of Diagbox, especially if they are going to merge Citroën, Peugeot, Fiat and Vauxhall systems into one. History tells us that these things never go well I'm afraid so yes, it would be better to stick with an older, known working version. |

Hello exXM, I bought Diagbox 7.01 and the upgrades up to 7.44 and it works for C6. I haven't bothered to upgrade anymore as I don't feel I need it. I see 7.83 advertised and get the impression this would be fine. Hopefully other users will confirm. Best regards, Phil C. |

The Diagbox 7.xx is ideal for the C6. The most stable update is 7.57. 7.62 is still usable. If the Diagbox 7.xx is installed, this must also be used - no longer the LEXIA - because PSA has switched this model to the Diagbox from firmware 4.3.0. The original Diagbox V07.xx ended with 7.65 - whereby all updates after 7.62 - 7.65 had defects and were therefore changed. This was followed by DIAGBOX V08xx, which could no longer be activated because the previous specialist no longer supplied any code. V08 was therefore patched under V07 and continued as 7.65 - 7.83. However, under the old firmware. And these updates up to 7.82 only make sense - if at all - for vehicles from the beginning of 2015 - autumn 2015 - not for the C6. 7.83 and higher are no longer useful at all because only APP elements (LEXIA) but no AW root (Diagbox) were included. If you need or want a higher level of software, you should go for 9.xx. The C6 can be optimally diagnosed with 7.xx - preferably 7.57 or alternatively 7.62. Greetings Wolfgang |
