Since the RT4 and RT5 units support USB since firmware 8.xx, a while ago I bought a USB socket from Citroën to hook up the USB port for updates and different music.

Unlike the C4 Picasso and so forth, there doesn't seem to have been a move towards fitting a second lighter/12v socket location in the console for the C6 - so if these cars have a USB port the same as the lesser models, where is it located?

Going to get the cable from eBay France, but really want a proper location for the port rather than just shoving it somewhere (if I do it'll be the driver's "Pro-Plus container" dashboard pocket, assuming the lead is long enough).

This isn't the USB box which connects to the CD-changer port, it's the proper USB socket.

On the C4, DS3 etc. it sits next to the cigarette lighter socket behind the gear change, so would be a pain to put there on the C6 as you would need to strip the centre console for access

I would try the Glovebox, that way you have minimal disruption (C4 Picasso Video IN and Out are in there) and you can keep any device hidden

The C6's video/audio RCA connectors are in the glovebox too - as someone else has mentioned the USB socket being in the chilled/CD compartment, that's where I'd aim for - with factory bits if I can persuade a parts guy to find them!

Hi everyone, I've just upgraded my 2.7Hdi to a 2010 3.0 Hdi which has Bluetooth but although a USB port is listed in the owners handbook and for sale brochure, it is not located in the centre console or glovebox, which I assume means I do not have a USB port. Can anybody tell me where else I might find it?

You have to buy a USB cable and connect it to the back of the RT5
