Dave, if you look at the top of your parts diagram, it’s applicable to cars with RP number until 12027, (13th October 2009). I.e. it’s the early mirrors.

There’s another parts diagram for cars with RP 12028 onwards. This is when the later large mirrors replaced the earlier smaller mirrors.

Thanks for clarifying, Shaun. I didn't know very early 3.0HDi's had the smaller mirrors.

Some years ago I bought a silver 3.0HDi, reg KN59KPG, and was surprised to find it had small mirrors - I thought someone had robbed them!

The change to larger mirrors was due to a change in Type Approval regulations, size of mirror is now related to the dimensions of the car, rather than Citroen making cosmetic changes.

If you look at the images on the sites landing page and WK59 YTT, image 10, the last in the carousel, you can see the different type 2 shape compared to all the rest, which are type 1 mirrors.

My mirrors (3.0 Hd9 2010) are only 95 % reliable. Some years ago they had the "mad mirror syndrome" : opening and closing wildly while driving. I changed the switch in the driver's armrest, that helped. And have sprayed contacts in doorframe. For me 95% is good enough, it only means that they do not close when locking the car once a month or so

Turns out I have the larger mirrors. Looking at the door mirror parts list it is item 8151QC, is this a Citroen only part or can anyone recommend a supplier? Thank you in advance.
