Thanks to Tadas !!! I also have the 3.0 tdi. Do the warning that you get from the cooling system on the screen and in the Alert log mention cooling level ? I am also a little nervous for oil pump/oil pressure after 260 000 km. Will you/your company/Garage/ do the same procedures on my car if I come to Kaunas from Norway ? (I have family there.) | ||

Hello Tjensen, Yes, the warnings do mention level. Check my previous post in response to Tadas1991. Best regards, Phil C. |

I got this sensor for 3 years. I confirm it is essential and very helpful. This Summer I was in the mountains, Sudety. One day in the morning the "coolant level low" appeared, I topped up and rode, but I was thinking what could be the reason. It was a hot day. I had driven up the hill, quite sharply and fast, to reach a park place to meet my grandchildren waiting. I suddenly stopped and switched off. The coolant exploded from the tank, because of the wrong (but new) cap. I immediately started the engine back and topped up the coolant. Fortunately, it was on time, because nothing has happened. I changed the cap next week. I've been riding happy and fast next 6 months without problems. So I think the 2,7HDi is not as very vulnerable as we estimate. Motul 10W60 in. |
