Replaced both shocks not struts as some folk have in the past called them. Job took much less time than doing a leg removal as some do. The top wishbone bolt removal and the drive shaft nut is the key to a simple job. 100,000 miles and a five year old car with the original later type struts but what a rusty state they were in above the boot. some pics : |

Genuine PSA UK Shocks ordered complete with amvar valves and sphere seals. Price each a little over £228-00 + vat. Did have a case logged with Citroen to complete a delivery. Hope this helps. |

Thanks speedfix - got an advisory on the MOT this week for the front offside so will prob get both done sooner than later. Would it be a relatively simple job for a competent independant garage mechanic? | ||

Should be ok if they have worked on Citroens in the past. Four post hoist IMO is best for the job. Main points: Remove LDS reservoir cap. Slacken spheres a tad under pressure. Depressurize system. Remove ignition key. Remove front wheels and remove drive shaft nuts. Drop rear top section of wheel liners.[to remove top wishbone bolt] Remove spheres and all fixings for the shocks and remove. Change tank and fluid if a magnet is fitted by owner on milers. |
