Sat nav Upgrade disc and info req???

 It will need coding to the cars Vin or it will emit an annoying 'beep' on a regular basis

 My first C6 problem ! And self made !

I made (write/verify) a CD with the 8.20 iso image file and got a CD with 8 files, almost full.

Inserted the CD , it was detected, the system restarted and after a while the CD came out with the message "insert upgrade CD" Tried to insert it a few times, same thing happened. The last time it was also a message in small red letters "old obd detected" or something like that. Then black screen and that was it

 (drama continues with a happy ending, see above)

*Made a new CD
*Tried again. Black screen at startup. Inserted CD anyway. After a while (2 min) it started, this time with a little"1.51" down in left corner, the last attempt had a "10"
*Same procedure. after 30sec CD came out with "Please insert upgrade CD". I just left the CD and it was sucked in again after 10 sec. This happened 20 times or so, and then it actually found the files and started the real upgrade process that lasted for 20 minutes

*After that: everything OK (nothing changed, memory intact) The only issue was that bluetooth connection to my mobile had to be done again from start.

Moral: It is a nervous system, be very patient and try and try again.

(maybe I should clean the CD player with one of the CDs with a brush ?)

When I receive the CDs for new maps and photoboxes, a new adventure begins....

 Recieved all the discs (Europe maps 2012/13). They include system upgrade to 8.20, rev 3562, the same version that can be downloaded.
