Hi MichaelB, I know the feeling about cost of upkeep, I had to replace a shock absorber on my C5 at £700. Thats why when my warranty ran out on my C6 I went to a Warranty extension Co. and took out a 3 year extended warranty and also a Gap insurance for 3 years from the same Co. I recently had to get a shock absorber and an ABS sensor replaced on my C6 so I've recovered my first years premium already. Now I've been told both ball joints will need replacing in the near future so once again I'll get some of my money back from the warranty Co. £50 excess each time but a whole lot less than the £500 it would have cost me so far. By the way, all this on a car that at the time hadn't done 20,000 miles! |
