Passenger side wiper is probably on its way out: parks in one of the outer positions and stops. Starts again after restarting the engine and works for a while.

Probably wise to change both motors with new ones, but they seem hard to find as new. Is the right part numbers 6405EK and 6405EH ? (can maybe be bought from Germany for 500 EUR). I use a good Citroen garage and only do the simplest things myself. Buying parts through dealers in Norway has become a nightmare of delays and extreme pricing.

Car is 2010 3.0 Hdi with 215 000 km.

All advice welcome

..it's a bit more complicated
The spare parts no. 6405EK coded up to Orga 10590 and uncoded from Orga 10591 - 11864 are no longer offered by Citroen, but only 6405PR (must be coded) from Orga 11685.
and the same applies to the other side 6405EH - here only 6405PT is offered for coding.
Therefore your chassis number and especially the organization would be important.
The 6405PR and 6405PT engines may also fit older vehicles.

Thanks for the precise information !!!

I have RP 12191, VIN VF7TDX8ZAAL527171(2010). and have found on the net 6405EK and 6405EH for 600 EUR to Norway from Germany. If I understand you correctly, this may be OK?

Hi there,
In the PSA Service Hotline, only the spare part numbers are listed under your VIN:
6405PR for left - part for telecoding and
6405PT for right - part listed for telecoding
These engines can be supplied by Citroen for €266.52 each.

The spare parts professional (Certus) also supplies workshops with original PSA spare parts.

Possibly/probably the older versions also fit - I can't say for sure.
Does the spare parts professional deliver abroad???

Greetings Wolfgang

Thanks again ! I now have the information I need. Probably the EK/EH variants will fit, but they are not longer on the Citroen list, replaced by PR/PT that need coding. I have ordred the EK/EH and if problems I will change to PR/PT.

whether EH/EK or PR/PT motors - all must be coded. Factory coded parts are always coded to the vehicle with just the VIN ordered and are then automatically recognized by the BSI.

My wiper motors arrived and the enclosed papers say that 6405EH = 6405PR and 6405EK=6405PT. The parts themselves are original PSA and marked 6405 PT and PR. Hopefully, my Citroen garage will be able to fit them, even with the mystical coding. The price seems to be the PSA ordinary price (600 EUR +fees), but in Norway the prices are probably much higher and waiting time is unpredictable and long

Follow up: My garage had to work with this! After success with installing the new ones (the wipers collided with each other with nasty effects). It took only a few days before the same symptoms were back: the right wiper sometimes stops and starts again after restarting the engine. Sometimes they crash with each other. The garage diagnosis is error messages from the right motor and their advice is to get another new one (!). Is this a way to proceed or is it likely that I have some connection problem ? If I really have to get a new one, is it OK with a used motor (6405 EH /EJ ?)

The new wiper motors are/were delivered "uncoded" and must be coded with the DIAGBOX to your VIN - otherwise it will not work.
Does your workshop even have the PSA diagnostic tool?
This does not work with any other diagnostic tool - then you must go to a PSA workshop to have it coded.

Thanks. Yes, it is a Citroen garage and the use Diagbox all the time (I think the problem was a technical one with adjustment)
