Hi, I just did an oil change on my C6 and the engine symbol came on along with a brief message of depollution message. Wondered if I might have low oil pressure if the filter nipple hadn’t seated but rechecked and was ok. Only thing I did different on this occasion was I syphoned the filter bowl. Engine sounds fine and will take to a mate who has a code reader on Monday but am a little concerned to drive it there. Any comments appreciated. Regards John | ||||

Check you haven't dislodged or broken any of the various vacuum pipes that run across the top of the engine near the oil filter housing. On mine, these pipes were very brittle and it took little to split them. If you have a vacuum pump / gauge, it's not a bad idea to disconnect one at a suitable point and put a vacuum on the pipe and see if it holds it. Check also for dislodged / broken cables or insulation. Mike. |
