HUD Head-Up Display confused?

 I've always loved the idea of a HUD in the C6. In my mind, it was one of the differentiators that made the car special.

Lately, now & then instead of just the digits for the speed, I get the whole gamut of indicators showing up, with the digits reflecting the speed among them. SatNav is off, of course. The display seems to return to normal after a minute or so leaving just the speed digits showing.

I cannot be sure whether this happens because of the direct sunlight hitting the HUD at a certain angle, resulting in the confused display. Would you know if that could be a possibility, please?

 Eddy, mine does the same in bright sunlight so I think that is the cause of the problem rather than anything nasty!

 Yes, I noticed this happens often, given the bright sunlight out here.

Sometimes the HUD speed display itself disappears in the glare.
