 Afternoon All,

Has anybody tried sourcing a windscreen for a C6 recently?

My windscreen got damaged on 1st June and I entered a claim with my insurer.

10 weeks later I am still waiting for a new screen as apparently they are on back order with no delivery date in sight.

Apparently there is no stock of LHD or RHD windscreens at the moment.

 That’s odd. I got one very easily last year through the insurance.

 I’m not the only person who is waiting at the moment.

Apparently there are no RHD or LHD screens available from any of the suppliers or Citroen themselves at the moment.

 Sorry to hear this. I must have been inadvertently (and rarely!) lucky. Hope there is a delivery soon and you are back on the road soon!

 Well we're not at 4 months with not even a hint of a date from AutoGlass.

As of today I've told my insurers if they can't commit to a date for a screen they're going to have to write the car off as I'm not sitting waiting indefinitely.

asking doesn't cost anything.
There are some for LHD.
Windscreens are from China by XYG, they probably make some for RHD too.

 Turns out it’s Citroen that can’t supply a windscreen.

AutoGlass ordered it from Citroen on 21st June. ????

Hi David,
I’ve had similar ordering issues around the back this time (suspension) some of the rear bolts/screws aren’t available Idir or have been discontinued now.

The column screw that holds the sphere shroud to the rear hydraulic valve in the middle is no longer available (I had to cut it off due to rust so bad).

Hope you can source a new screen soon. It’s getting to that challenging ownership period now!!

Citroen told AutoGlass they’d have a screen to them last week but it’s not arrived yet
