Good afternoon chaps Yesterday my CD player just stopped playing All it says is please wait with an hour glass symbol rotating The radio is fine and works Is this a common problem? Or is it just that particular CD it doesn't like? The CD itself will not eject. Is there a quick fix or am I looking for a new CD player? Any help is always much appreciated |

If this is a RT4 or RT 5 system: Have you tried pressing the "dark" button for XX seconds (restarting the system) ? I have also experienced this as the first stage in system HDD problems that are fixed by reinstalling the (operating) system. This procedure will also repair bad sectors on the disk that is stopping the system. I reinstalled the system many times but ended up with changing the HDD. (This is much like the classic PC: Have you tried ctrl-alt-del, have you tried reinstalling the system.) If it really is the CD player, it is often a way of forcing out the stuck CD (Check manual), then use a cleaning disc. |
