Hi, just after any advice, support or similar issues anyone may of come across. In the last few days the front end has become very high causing the car to take on a sloped angle. When you first start up and drive off the car really bounces at the front end like driving over a corrugated surface and flashes up a suspension warning message. However after around a mile it starts to settle down, the message goes off and it drives and handles as normal. Had a diagnostic done on it and been advised to start with having the ride height sensors changed first to see if this cures it, then if not also having the suspension accumulators done. The cost of the ride height sensors quoted at £680. Only had the car for around 2 years and this is the first time its really required any work, so just wanted to check around price etc. Thanks.

Check that one of the ride height sensor brackets hasn't been bent or damaged. You've not had any work done around the front wheel area recently?
Might be a sensor, but needs plugging in to DiagBox to check for sure. You'll soon see on there, if it is.

Hi there - I would get the car up on a ramp or axle stands & check the little 'dogbone' links which connect the suspension arms to the height sensor on each wheel. These get very heavily corroded and can therefore not move correctly to inform the suspension ECU where the car body is....unfortunately the little ball joint that they clip over on the suspension arm & on the height sensor itself can be so badly corroded that even fitting new 'dogbone' links will not cure the problem. I recently had to replace all four height sensors on a friend's C6 as well as the little bracket on the front lower arms to cure this precise issue. The sensors are about £62+ Vat each and the little front lower arm ball joint brackets are just over £6+ Vat each. Fitting is actually quite easy.....just a few bolts to come off - however you need to be careful if you are re-using the old height sensors that you do not allow them to move outside the normal operating angle or they can be damaged. Before spending money on the sensors I would get the car checked on Citroen Diagbox software which should indicate if sensors are faulty - it did on the one I worked on. If you are replacing, after the car is raised, lock it using the central locking to shut down the systems - there will then be no power at the sensors so you can then disconnect & re-connect the new ones after pushing on the new 'dogbone' links(these are available from Citroen & from memory are not too pricey). Hope this helps somewhat.
