My C6 warned me to stop the other day when I left idling for ages and the engine cooling fan is not coming on— plus there is Lexia code “ P0480 Fan (GMV1) high speed relay or chopper control”. The C6 petrol seems to have only one relay for the cooling fan unlike the diesel’s two. The fan can be turned with a stick so isn’t seized. I read a bit on this forum and worked out that the relay might be underneath the engine bay fuse box. I took the cover off, lifted the fuses up and hoped to find it under there. Instead there is a black wire, with multiple wires inside it, chopped off and some insulation tape around it. I suspect this is original and not the issue that I am looking for as the fan was verified to be be working by BL Autos last year when it also failed to turn on. So… can anyone tell where the relay is on the petrol C6; or the diesel C6 as I’m still hoping it may be similar, if not the same. |
