Hi all.
My first post, I’ve been a site member for a while but only got my C6 today. Dark blue Exclusive with cream leather. Drove back to Plymouth from Bude as my first run. It’s all I thought it would be, super smooth and waftastic, but I noticed at one point a clunky gear change or two. Would a gearbox service cure this perhaps?
Anyway, looking forward to the new adventure, my first Citroen since a BX16TRS back in the eighties.
Cheers
Eddie

Welcome Eddie,
How many miles has it done?
A few oil changes for the box would be the first plan of attack. if it doesn't improve you'll be looking at a valve block.

133k on it, I will be getting a service and probably a transmission service too. There is an auto specialist in Plymouth so I will be talking to them. Car is far from perfect but a good project.

Hi Eddie,
Well done with the car; 'You know it makes sense'!

Dark blue Exclusive with the cream sounds exactly like mine.
Mine has done 113k miles with 2 gearbox oil changes and just every now & then, almost once it a blue moon it will embarrass me slightly, (if I have passengers) with bit of a clunk changing down. I've always felt there was nothing fundamentally wrong just that sometimes the box is caught out with road speed / throttle position and is a little unsure whether to carry on going or drop a gear and sometimes gets it wrong.

Much like I do myself when driving a manual so nice to know clever machines can get it wrong every now and then, just like us mere humans.

All the best with the car.
