No kickdown after 30 mins

 Hi guys hope someone can help, my c6 works fine from cold, but after about 3o mins I lose kickdown and the car becomes very sluggish almost like a limp mode. It will change through all gears, but going up hill it doesn't change down and if I try to over take there is no kickdown. Turn the car off for maybe an hour and kickdown returns. Had they oil changed only a 1000 miles ago, though the problem was there before

 I take it the EML doesn't come on?
Have you tried manually shifting down, what happens?
Are there any error codes logged?

If it's just a loss of power it's probably a turbo actuator but this would put the EML on (eventually). You'll need a bit move investigation and possibly some live data from a lexia to really get to the bottom of it.

 I remember less than 30min, around 20 may be
Root cause was turbo actuator
(That black plastic box on turbocharger)
It was repaired
The machanical parts were damaged
Therefore it request higher current for same movement
And that is sensed in your car as well
