Has anyone had to replace this pipe from the bulkhead to the bottom of the condenser. There are a few advertised on flee bay with part no's; 9659576280 & 9684486580 all have a difference in the flexy pipe end , but some are saying will fit a C6. Does anyone know if these pipes might fit without any serious problem ie; lengths etc. My pipe into the condenser snapped at the O ring end. Absolute Pain. Oh and to add insult to injury, my fuel line pipe from the oil cooler to Thurm valve the plastic green quick release locking device has seen its last days. Any iteas regarding a replacement for that too. This rebuild is turning out to have a few problems, Understatement that.

Sent you a parts list for the air con and heater hoses but am a bit confused by the 'fuel line pipe from the oil cooler to Thurm valve' description? Searching on 647750 I found a complete used set from a Pug 407 in the Netherlands but there should be some from cars being broken in the UK? |

Dave, It's in the 2.7 fuel line tech doc item 16 I would say. Ah 1920HN I've looked on line and 'maybe' one is available from Citroen but at close to £100. All the 'used' listings I found are 'out of stock'. Going back to the aircon pipe 647750 looking at on 'Service Box' it's fitted to the 2.2 and 2.7 C6 and the 2.2 and 2.7 Pug 407. I can't say whether one from another model would be long enough but.... I had a quick measure of an aircon pipe I could reach on my car and the metal part looks to be close to 15mm OD so you could go 'old school'. Buy the cheapest pipe set you can find with the correct end, cut it and your original on a metal section and use a 15mm compression coupler (they are readily available from any plumbing supplies store) to join the 2? |

Thanks Lads those are the pipes concerned. The fuel pipe, I'm looking to find a quick release straight 90 or 45 degree elbow with the same internal diameter. Would the old fitting just need the pipe warming to remove it and again to refit a new one. As for the air con pipe that's great info, might look to buy one from Poland for £30+ and have an Air Conditioning Fabricator local in New Romney to re-clamp the end properly. Or do as Dave said, check the O/D of the pipe and get a coupling that fits both. What sort off pressure is flowing through the pipe under load ?? |

Dave, those are serious numbers, think I'll be looking to have a new end section professionally replaced. Might not pass an MOT examiners bright eyes with a brass plumbing fitting staring back at him. The only other thing that I might be able to do is get my pipe bending kit out and find a new route to get the extra length needed from another models pipe.

Remember the DS LHM system ran at circa 2.5X that pressure (54 Bar) so it's nothing exceptional for a Citroen BTW you can get 15mm compression fittings in Chrome and is the Air Con system even part of an MOT? |

Yep know that feeling, Thanks anyway Mike, really appreciate you trying to get one for me. I'll try to make the pipe work from the tee piece and get a new 8mm I/d quick release, straight or bent from somewhere. Thanks.

Dave, The pipe I need is just under 10mm so might try with one of those straight chrome compression fittings on my old pipe first before I butcher a new tear drop end.

Got the chance of a air con pipe off of a C5 estate in Spain. Ticks all the boxes as regards look, only difference is it has an electrical switch below the filling valve. Doe's anyone know if the lower condenser connection is the same as on the C6. Only difference in the part numbers, the C6 is 6477-50, the C5 6477-5P. The main number C6 #9684486580 , C5 #9684493980. What do you think Lads, should I buy it.
