Build date after registration year ???

 How can this be ? My cars build date is after it's registration date.
The Numbers on my drivers door plate are 10969cj giving the build date as 09/06/2009, so how come my registration plate year is '58'. Can that be Right.

 e Mailed you the cars build information from Citroen which confirms a November 2006 build and 1st registration of November 2008

 I'm getting 2006-10-20 for 10969. (Number of days since 1976-10-08.)

They all seem to have sat around for quite a long time before being registered.
