Charge battery using under bonnet terminals

 Is it possible, or advisable, to charge battery using under bonnet terminals?

Also I used the key in the door lock and, as soon as I opened the door, the alarm was activated, necessitating speedy use of the remote control.

 I have used without trouble the terminals at the front both for charging and for jump starting.

 I always use the under-bonnet terminals for charging. I think that is the correct way to do it. A physical key in the lock will activate the alarm and it will stop with a remote signal OR key in ignition.
