 After 6 years I have made the tough decision to end my ownership of my C6. I got an advisory about a coolant leak on the MOT (August) and have had the water pump changed but it is still leaking. I have decided the time has come to change the car as despite being a enthusiast I'm not a mechanic and cant justify any more expense. The Car is dark blue (Citroen call it grey) with beige interior. Bodywork is good for age and it still looks stunning to me. Serviced 7K miles ago and now on 102000 miles. New alternator in 2017.

I don't know exactly where the leak is coming from but car still starts and drives ok. It cant be driven far due to leak so will need transport.

I am potentially going to scrap the vehicle but would like it to go to someone in the C6 circle if possible. Looking for £1500 if anyone is interested in a project or spares.

 The leak is probably from the top water inlet housing (thermostat) and the part can be sourced for under £22.00 on eBay - Click Here -

Any local garage/mechanic could change it.

Ah that is a real pity! Very nice car for £1500 to be honest. As others have mentioned it's probably a coolant component or indeed a pipe that's leaking at 102,000miles. Just out of curiosity has the much mentioned metal coolant pipe been checked located right inside the passenger side wheel arch?
