 Pardon my ignorance but can someone provide the name of a suspension component please.

It's the item which is connected to the lower part of the drop link and, is itself, attached to the torsion bar between both sides of the rear.

 Ronnie,

check in tech section and download the "C6 rear axle general specification" document - Click Here - Page 3 has the picture you need. If it's the section I think, it's part of the anti roll bar.

Is yours loose or damaged at the torsion bar end?
