The sensor just came up as Lexia error report and was changed, not expensive
The steering flexible pipe is a quite common error, develops leak due to wear and vibration. Expensive part and difficult to repair, it is on the pressure side of the system. Your solution using a hydraulic service should be a solution. I never had vibrations, but maybe they did not follow all Citroen procedures when changing the pipe ? (air in the system, too low level of LDS or......)

Sorry for very delayed answer !! Car is now OK, the old alternator got the "2,7" clutch with a spacer and is now a spare. The hydraulic pressure sensor was changed due to Lexia message. No link to the other fault. I also changed the (expensive) steering pressure pipe. Quite common problem. No experience with a quick fix, but should be possible.

Update: The new generator was delivered from Germany at a low price, but with a wrong freewheel, it did not even turn ! Went back and got replaced and now without problems for 8 years/90 000 km. The old generator fixed and tested with a new freewheel and spacer.
The sensor for hydractive pressure was just changed by the garage. No issues.
The steering high-pressure pipe had developed a leak (quite an ordinary problem and an expensive part)
