 Am I right in thinking this is what other makers would call a Servotronic system ? If so and there is an electrically operated valve as part of the steering rack valve block assembly, does anyone have the makers numbers off the electrical valve ?

The parts illustration sort of shows a valve, but it is not listed as a separate part, yet they do crop up on a well known auction site, predominantly for BMW models.

Also, is there a dedicated ECU for the variable steering ? Again, can find no mention of one in the parts or repair sections.
