Hi all, I acquired my 2008 fully loaded Mauritius Blue Lignage in 2009 with the car having been pre=registered by Citroen (like pretty much all of them). It has covered just 70,000 miles and has MOT until October 2019. Now for sale, located in Aberdeen Scotland.

The car has been maintained on the basis of keeping everything working correctly for upmost reliability. So Low SAPs oil changes every 6 months. Auto Transmission fluid was first changed at 36,000 miles and since then every two years. The result of the preventative maintenance is that the engine and gearbox sound and shift pretty much like a new one.

New Michelin Primacy 3 tyres have been fitted to all four corners.

Common C6 issues which have been addressed include replacement of thermostat housing, FRIP joint replacement with later type with better sealing, replacement of all 7 suspension spheres, replacement of alternator drive pulley. The coolant header tank has been replaced with a Peugeot 407 equivalent complete with low level warning sensor (vital on the C6 to give advance warning of coolant loss and so avoid engine destruction). There is also a sump heating pad which I used during the several harsh winters we had some years ago, both to prevent cold engine startup wear and to improve comfort.

The interior is all leather, heated back and front seats which have been much appreciated by the family. The dark grey leather is very hard wearing and the inside pretty much looks like new.

I'm selling the car complete with winter wheels/tyres. That's 3 additional wheels plus the spare in the boot. All are fitted with working pressure transmitters which are programmed into the car. No annoying warnings! The car also has the genuine Citroen rubber boot liner so I'm assuming that the carpet underneath has no wear (but I will check).

There are 13pin towing electrics fitted and the Citroen dealer fitted towing bracket. The actual towing ball and swanneck has been removed as I havn't towed anything for several years but can be supplied loose or remounted according to Purchasers preference.

Most of the jobs carried out have been documented on this forum if anyone wants to trawl through the archives.

For a very nice C6, low mileage and hard to find one owner vehicle, I'm asking £4199 plus a negotiated amount for the winter wheels.

Please contact me via the website for further information.

Hello G,

Are you leaving the fold?

Best regards,

Hi G,

I hope we are not losing your valuable council and experience?

I'm puzzled as to what could replace a C6? Nothing new tickles my fancy and DS's, SM's and CX's of the quality I'd want are much more expensive!

Cheers Fraser

Good luck with the sale, G. Looks like a good one.

The problem, Fraser, I think is selling the car for what it's really worth, as the market is fairly limited. Especially so with steady stream of ex-UK and ex-Asia imports coming in.
I don't know about you but I was (and still am) tempted by the green Activa.

Fully loaded usually means at least "Exclusive". And since most C6s are Exclusives, unless you had sunroof and/or loung pack, I wouldn't call it "fully loaded".

With respect Paulius, some (in my opinion, a lot of) people don't like having sunroof or lounge pack - they are of limited benefit, in my opinion.

I concur, a sunroof is unnecessary and is something else to leak. The lounge pack is, unless you use the car as a limousine, an absolute inconvenience. We do a lot of touring and the ability to fold the back seat down is a must. It's the primary reason I got rid of my first C6. My current model is an Exclusive with no lounge pack and it took some finding. I must say, had yours been on the market a month earlier I would have bought it as it's £800 less and 75 miles closer than the one I bought.

“Heated back and front seats” in Gerry’s description. Surely that makes it Lounge Pack?

It also appears to have the bigger LCD, ergo it has Navteq. So, Mikontu wood trim aside, it’s an Exclusive in spec terms, I’d say...

Sad to lose such an active and sharing-is-caring contributor.

The standard leather rear seats are heated, not just the Lounge Pack.

Hi, strangely my rear seats aren't heated in my Exclusive. Mind you I also don't have the lane departure vibrators either. Must have been special specifications set for New Zealand new C6's of which there were few.

I've just checked the brochures I have for the C6 and the heated front and rear leather seats are standard on the Exclusive and an option on the Lignage. If you lift the rear seat base up you should see a cable enter the base by the hinge. The switches are either side of the interior light below the centre pull out drawer.

I'd better look more carefully then! I just assumed that they would be in a similar position to the front seats. I need to check.
