Hello everyone, apologies if I can't explain too technically but a few weeks ago, my C6 wouldn't start, just finished a meeting where I got there with no trouble, no previous issues I can remember with not starting but wouldn't turn over or anything - believed to be electrical fault by kind man from AA and was recovered to Citroen garage who diagnosed apparently a new battery needed. All fixed I think, however over the last 3 weeks since this work - once or twice per week, the engine won't turn over or start when the ignition turned on - just nothing. I reset ignition, wait for ignition lights to all clear, then turn on again and it starts first time. Maybe 30 journeys a week with no problem then 2-3 times, an issue. Just don't want to leave it like this and wondered if anyone can give me a steer what might be wrong. Going to BL autos next week for new cambelt and front wishbones and hope I can get them to fix this issue if I can tell them what the problem might be. Could it be starter motor, alternator or other smaller fault. Any help would be welcome. Thank you.

mmmm, the issue I had with mine, is the camshaft sensor, cheap and relatively easy to fix yourself if you wanted a go. With me though, the car would turn over once then die. I did have a code come up related to this issue though, so would suggest having a diagnostics run, cannot remember what the P code was though. TBH, BL autos should be good place. However, I heard that the guy who specialises in C6's is off on holiday until 23rd Nov? I would suggest calling BL to confirm as I was trying to book a slot with them last week. |

Could also be the key failing (the chip inside). Had that once, first intermittent and finally would not work at all. The other key gave no issues.
