I've finally gone crazy and seen a C6 i like on Autotrader (who says he's a member on here on the advert) . I've emailed to see if its still available as i know sometimes the adverts don't get removed, so i maybe a C6 owner soon after 12 years of drooling over them.

Just VERY concerned for my wallet, i already have a 3.0 V6 HDI X7 C5, a Xantia Activa, and a 2007 C5 2.2 Exclusive, so i'm already being stung by cars. The good news is there are no others cars i really want now.

Its this one

Put a deposit down on it, just waiting for the loan to come into my bank account. Saved it by just a few hours as it was heading for part ex this morning, owner seemed very happy it will be going to a Citroen enthusiast instead of ending up at an auction.

Alloys need refurbing, boot lid gas cylinders need changing as they no longer hold and the rear spolier seems stuck on up. Apart from that seems great interior is in excellent condition too.

Its had in last 20,000 miles particulate filter changed, new starter motor, all 6 ignition coils changed and new front struts. Hoping that its got through that expensive window i seem to have read a lot about on here or at least most of it. Main dealer serviced from new and currently on 101,000 miles except for the last 12 months where it has been to Citronics.

Only annoyance is that mad £540 a year car tax. If it was my only car it would not bother me as much but when i have 3 others to tax too it hurts.

I've considered doing mine monthly VED and when I don't intend using it for a while putting it on SORN which could save some of it.

Just haven't done it yet though......

I recognise that car (the number plate is very close to the original on mine so it sticks in my mind). I used to see it parked around the town where I live (Harpenden in Hertfordshire). Nice to know it is going to a good home.

Its the 2.7 V6 HDI not 3.0 V6 Petrol James.

I did pick it up from Hertfordshire so it will be that same C6 bishop.

I'm loving the car so far apart from parking it, though i'm sure that gets easier with time. It was very close (less than 24 hours) from being part-ex'd at dealer when i enquired so the owner is very happy its gone to an enthusiast and kept in the community.

In all the documentation i can see there is nothing listing any work regarding a change of that coolant pipe that corrodes i have read about being a common issue on the 2.7 HDI engine. Does anybody have a link to a photo showing exactly where this pipe is so i can get my local Citroen specialist to give it a check i don't want to get caught out with that fault.

The mention of coil packs confused me! Maybe you meant glow plugs?

I was just going off what the advert said which was coil packs changed so can see why you thought it was petrol now, i just presumed the diesel v6's have something equivalent , looked at the actual service document and it says 6 injectors at around £276 each.

Have a look in the left (nearside) wheel arch and inner wing, that's where the pipe runs.
