Hi, I have a pin pick hole in my power steering pipe the replacement pipe is over £300 to buy plus an arm and a leg for fitting, my question is, the hole is easily accessable has anyone used a compression fitting to repair this pipe as they must use compression fittings where the pipe joins the rest of the power steering pump etc.
Regards john

had a leak very similar , hairline crack more like , with small amount of oil leaking . fixed it with heavy duty 3 inch long x approx half inch [inner] diameter piece of rubber hydraulic hose and 3 jubilee clips .slit the hose down the middle , fix over the pipe leak and clamp the three clips placed tightly together onto the hosepipe directly on top of the hole or crack . worked for me regards
