Oil in water bottle

 I have oil mixing with water. Previous owner said to me that in past car was mixing oil with water and that he fixed it and thats why bottle was dirty. But after some time i noticed that water level is increasing and it was again more oil in bottle. Today i heard knocking noise in top right place of engine and so much oil in water bottle. Any experiences with this?
Ps 2.7 hdi biturbo 2006
