I have been enjoying driving my 2009 2.7 HTI for the best part of 6 years and the audio/sat nav/computer has gone on strike. The sat nav has been unreliable since I bought it. In addition the display screen is blank, speed is displayed in Km/hr and the parking sensors don't work. My local citreon dealer in Canterbury (Kent) has suggested that a replacement unit will cost £3000. From your experience can it be repaired instead and are you able to advise who I might reliably go to. Many thanks Dan2earth

Magnelli Marelli offer a fixed price repair for the head unit for £350, what ever the fault. It's aimed at Citroën dealers who would sub contact the work of their customers.
I'll get the details and post tomorrow.

It sounds like a harddisk error. Buy a replacement on e-Bay (30 or 40 GByte) and copy the complete old one with all its sections on a PC. If the old hardisk is unreadable, you have to rebuild the harddisk from a firmware CD (8.31) and then rebuild the specific set-up for your car with a LEXIA (difficult) or from a MIRASCRIPT set-up (downloadable from internet)

Here's the information about the repair service offered to Citroën dealers by Clarion. I believe they will offer the same service to a private car owner.

- Click Here -. You need to register and log on to access the service.

They will repair all the audio/Nav systems fitted at the factory by PSA.

The UK price in Nov 2016 for RT3/4/5 was £315+VAT, it may have increased now.

Many thanks for all your responses.

I contacted Clarion and they are very happy to help but need the order to be placed by a dealership. I will let you know how I get on . They advised that its likely to take 5-10 days to fix but were unable to offer a price until they have seen the unit.

Best regards

I have a similar problem n that the sat nav works but the route planner and voice commands have stopped.
I have tried a reload of the system to no avail. As I am on software version 6.62 would it help to update to version 6.63 which I believe exists. If so has any one got a copy they would lend/sell to me
many Thanks for any help
