Normally, if one door is not reported as closed, the sentral lock will not kick in and alarm not be armed. Meybe it is reported is locked without being locked. Is it the same with the problem oor fully open ?

It could be a faulty microswitch inside the door lock.

Most likely broken lock, or some cable issue - shouldn't prove to be that hard to diagnose once door trim is off. Also, if it is the lock, replacing it is not hard, nor expensive. Definitely an ideal DIY candidate, or a 1 hour service shop job, if DIY is not really your thing. Cheerios, Sam |

Its a failed motor not a micro switch as this simply controls the drop of the window glass so that you don't break it. My six did exactly the same, all doors lock except the failed motor door and the alarm activates if you open this door with the car locked. Cost with labour around the £250 mark. |

Hi. I now have this problem with the front n/s door (and possibly the rear n/s door). I'd noticed the front passenger outer door handle being a bit stiff of late but now, as described above, the outer door handle doesn't lock and the inner door handle doesn't open the door. Apart from secondhand, can these only be sourced from a Citroen dealer? Does the door dismantle easily? Thanks. GRoB.

Hi there, I had this with the nearside rear door a couple of years ago. Here's the post - Click Here - Main thing is that it is very tight to remove old and replace with new lock assy #1 but it can be done with patience and no need to remove or touch the window mechanism or guide channel. Thanks all. The door lock is working OK now, but it does suggest that it's possibly on its way out or there's a wiring issue.... Or it's just doing the C6 thing and being erratic! Anyway, it'll need to work for the MOT in March, so I'll keep my eye on it. I also checked the price from Citroen in Wrexham and they're £142 inc VAT for the front and £127 inc VAT for the rear, which I didn't think was ridiculous pricing.
