REMAPPING A2.7 AUTO

 Hi
Has any one had there car remapped and if so what were the results like, what did it cost, what was the increase like in power and fuel economy and any thoughts on what the extra power does to the auto gearbox

 Morning John,

I had mine done, basically, it improved performance (got rid of the turbo lag), improved economy too.

Depends where you go, I was quoted between £185-350 as it depends on what ECU is fitted to the car as it can't always be done via the OB11 port and needs on occasion the ECU taking apart....

Will PM the name of someone to talk to who is not to far from you (well not in a C6 )

It was £150 at the time, but I believe prices have gone up since then.

well, their communication is not very good though - left a message querying about a remap, still haven't heard back.

Angel were bought out some years back and service declined.... plus that's a lot of money for a remap in today's competitive market.
