Background

He had a minor RTA, about a year ago, in Phuket -- he was knocked off his little Yam 125 (at standstill at a junction), flipped over the handlebar and landed awkwardly, which "put his neck out". This caused a neurological palsy, whereby he lost the use of his left arm for a couple of months, eventually regaining 98%.

About three months' ago, Col rolled out of bed (in his sleep) at his home in South Shields. His head hit the night table and, as he rolled, he ended up 'wearing' the table which cricked his neck again, paralysing him from the neck down...

Colin's spent some considerable time in a neuroclinic in Middlesborough, and is now slowly recuperating near his daughter's home in Stavanger, Norway. He's still in a wheelchair and still has no use of his legs, arms and hands.

His '56-plate C6 is likely to come up for sale at some point, but he's still hoping to recover enough to be able to look after himself and return to South Shields, where he can be chauffeured around in it by one or two of his fellow retirees.

He can't use a phone unless someone keys-in the number for him, and he has sporadic use of a shared optromically-operated keyboard for (very slow and tiring) emailing.

I'll keep The Forum informed as I receive more info.
