Either model, any colour, any mileage if price reflects the mileage.
Cash buyer, or part-exchange my immaculate 2.7 C6, also advertised here.

Good luck trying to find a 3.0HDi.
There are only 25-30 RHD ones in the UK.

I'm aware of one recently publicly advertised for £12500 for a 2009 car with 88,000 miles and it sold within a few hours of the advert going live.
I sold a silver one a year ago, 100,000 miles advertised on the forum here for £12,000 and sold quickly.

If you don't mind a left hand drive one there are plenty in Europe, some at more affordable prices.

The one i viewed was very high mileage, part history and had several faults, for £8,500. Thanks for the info., i didn't know they were that rare.

We'd all be interested to hear more about the 3.0HDi you've looked at, especially if you buy it.
There's plenty of willing and knowledgeable people here to help fix its faults.
I try and keep track of all the 3.0HDi C6 in the Uk and have details of 20-25 of them so a few are missing from my records.

Shaun,

The elusive exclusive. I was thinking the same. Wt3litre should reconsider the car he looked at if it is still available!

Best regards,

Phil C.

The improvements from 2,7 are many. Some work is OK to do, both before and after

The car i viewed was an ex-Paris black LHD example with very high miles, leaking hydraulics and a tatty interior.

I have to say that whilst i love driving the C6 i cannot for the life of me understand why a 2.7 would fetch maybe £6,000 with 70,000 miles but a 3.0 £11,000. Are they really that different? At the risk of annoying C6 fanatics, my money at £11,000 would be going on an Audi A8 V8 TD! Or a C Class Mercedes 3.0 V6 TD.

Well you have to be a special kind of fanboy to buy a C6 in the first place. I must admit that I am now. Although the official acceleration time seems to be the same (0-62 8,9 sec), the torque is better and more is achieved at lower revs. Also the fuel consumption is lower with 3.0 HDI. I personally like the overall minor changes as well - two exhaust pipes, Atlantique rims and additional interior chrome. If I had the funds I would not hesitate to pay even 20 000 euros for a nice 3.0 HDI specimen. Maybe someday...

Having had several 2.7 and a 3.0HDi, plus driven many others, I'd say the 3.0hdi is noticeably better than the 2.7. There are many changes all adding up to a surprisingly better car. Maybe not everyone would notice the difference or be bothered.
The 2.7 is still a great engine, I remember being seriously impressed when first driving one in Dec 2005 when the first batch of 10 cars arrived in the UK. It was the first V6 diesel for Citroen and the most powerful.
At £6000 a C6 is a bargain, a good one will give the same feeling as when it was £40,000 and new.

Don't forget the V6 petrol! I know I am in a small minority but I absolutely LOVE the way mine drives!

...And quieter (although I do like the diesels' muted drone).

I miss the turbos' whistling in my 3.0HDi, so I just take out the 2.7 to get that fix!

I was truly startled when I was taken for a short ride in my mate's '08-plate A8 4.2D quattro, a few years back. Jeez, they're quick! And solid. And luscious. And (relatively) exclusive. Plus, a massively-cavernous boot...

He sold it without giving me a heads-up; I'd have had it from him in a heartbeat, just for the fun factor...

It was a replacement hack for him, in place of an ageing series-1 S8 quattro (which he 'gave' to his son). His toy is an R8 V10 and, now, the work 'hack' is a Kahn Range Rover Vogue (ffs!)...
