Hello everyone! Just got my new car, 2.7 hdi C6 with 68k kilometers on clock. Never drive C6 before. Before I've bought it, engine with suspension were removed from car completely, after it - reassembled. And when I start driving it - front shocks setting in max position when rear are in normal hight. Front is very firm, no amortization at all. Should I make some initialization process after reassembling? What to check? When car stopped and pressing hight changing buttons: 1st - position - front and rear in max. 2nd - front stay at max - rear decreases 3rd - front stay at max - rear decreases 4th - front drops to min - rear decreases to min. I have Lexia+Diagbox and there are no any errors regarding suspension unit. Sorry my English) Many thanks! |

And when I turn on ignition - suspension pump starts and working all the time. When brake is pressed - pump stops until brake pedal is pressed. |

Hi 6023500, When car is parked, say over night. When you open it first thing the next day does the car unlock and can you hear the electropump bringing the car up a little as you start to get in? Should run maybe for a min or so, but should shut down when suspension has been pressurised. Ready to drive away. The brakes are in fact a separate system, a conventional brake system if you like. So, it's strange you have interaction with the suspension from the brake pedal! Unless it's a problem with the ABS brake system it's self? How are your brakes? Any on screen/dash warnings coming up besides the suspension warning? |

Hi, I would start from checking suspension height sensors. They are four of them, mounted at control arms. Each sensor has its ball joint link (part No. 5273 81), which is vulnerable to corrosion and can brake, causing issues that you described. |

Each sensor has its ball joint link (part No. 5273 81), which is vulnerable to corrosion and can brake, causing issues that you described. Thank you! Today, after bending of brackets of front height sensors - car's front suspension started working well! It works in all possible modes now, made test drive. After few kilometers I've got some error - Suspension fault. It is caused because of continuous mismatch of hight level of front suspension. Will check live parameters tomorrow via Diagbox. ----------------- Also ESP / ASR Fault showing up on my dashboard C1300 error code. ESP /ABS ECU: permanent fault pressure sensor supply. Front right brake caliper was changed - and no bleeding procedure was made via Diagbox, can it cause C1300 error code? After testdrive and hard braking I saw a lot of smoke from left caliper, may be air in braking system. Or it is ABS pump fail. Someone made brake bleeding via diagbox? Many thanks@! |

It seems problem in ABS pump, found few similar cases with c1300 error with 407, will check contacts tomorrow. -------------- And on dash board was one more error. safety belt pretensioner fault. But absolutely no errors in Diagbox in air bag sections. Any thoughts, maybe? Thanks! |

Hi 6023500, is this the on screen fault your currently seeing on startup? And do you have a permanent service light on the main dash display? It's most likely the sensor up behind the front bumper. It's about €95 to buy. But as was pointed out by another forum member Vaho if I remember correctly, it can sometimes have a lose connector! Worth checking that first. The bad news is you will need to remove the front bumper to be able to see and touch the sensor and wiring. |

About the pedestrian impact sensor behind the front grille. It caused me the same fault. Initially it started to show a fault at higher speeds and dissapeared at lower. It turned out that the main cord to the sensor was loose and could move because of the wind pressure. Finally it came loose completely. I managed to disconnect the connector without removing the bumper (working under the car, the plastic parts are bendable), it is barely possible. Reconnected the wires and secured the cord and this was it. If the sensor is bad the front bumper needs to be removed to change it but it is not complicated at all. | ||

With Diagbox help - live data from body hight sensors - all sensors installed in proper way in garage. All suspension related errors gone. Also were few error regarding EGR valves positions, front and back. Disappeared after 100 km driving. Thank you for help! |

Hi 6023500, did you manage to reconnect the sensor or do you need to order a new replacement unit? Great news about the suspension and the height sensor are sorted. Any more ESP issues? Or Were you experiencing anymore ABS pump issues with your break pedal? |

Any more ESP issues? Or Were you experiencing anymore ABS pump issues with your break pedal? ESP issue still exists. Error is not removable. It seemm ESP block is defective. --- It was suspension pump issue, not abs! issues with break pedal. It worked all the time on turned off engine and ignition turned on, until brake pedal is unpressed. It gone after body height sensor position changes, I think. Will inform you about pedestrian sensor problem situation. Thank you for help! |

BTW, it is possible to buy 7 original spheres in bundle, for about GBP 280. Is there any sense to buy it for a future? |
