Part numbers in ServiceBox have the format XXXX.YY but this is rarely present on the part itself which usually has a sticker with a long number that begins with a 9. My local independent former Citroen tech tells me that the long numbner that begins with a 9 is the real part number (and I can't remember what he said about the ServiceBox number.) and that there can be many (interchangeable, I presume) actual parts (identified by their 9- number) for a given ServiceBox id. Have you heard this before? Is there a way to convert a ServiceBox number into a 9- number? |

You can use both numbers for Citroen parts. The 9 digit ones started as Peugeot ones and a few CIT were converted to 9 digit but you can still order on Citroen numbers. A search in Service Box on original numbers on 'All Vehicle Families' would find what cars they are used on but a lot of C6 are specific to that model |
