The car performed brilliantly, as usual, this morning but when I went out to pick up my wife the car wouldn't rev above 3500 rpm and was decidedly sluggish. No sign of smoke, no warning lights (other than the usual ESP and handbrake failure) and no warnings on the system but I don't have Lexia. Car is 2.2 manual with 106K on the clock. Anyone got any ideas? Might be a slow drive to the garage on Monday. Thanks Colin |

I had the use of a Pug607 2.2 auto a while back, which had the very same symptoms that you describe; its turbocharger was at fault. | ||

Hi Colin. We have a 2.2 C5 X7 in the household and with that, a broadly similar event was down to a failed pressure sensor / switch. (The 2.2 seems to be festooned with them) In the first instance, you might get as good a result from a cheapo code reader as the Lexia. Our Lexia confirmed the problem was to do with turbo pressure, but wasn't much use in pointing us at exactly where the problem lay. Also worth checking none of the many small bore pressure hoses have come adrift, or split. Mike. |
