Hi Guys Just spent 2 days on a whole replacement of all aux belt pulleys Because of a defective and noisy alternator pulley. Also did the water pump as I thought it would be smart and tensioner and all.. that intercoler pipe was mad!!! The first time it took about 4 hours.. Then I discovered a big leak at the test drive... Lost a lot coolant, love my sensor in the tank I added some weeks ago But to hook in here; i replaced the water pump again.. Sill leaking! Also looking like it’s coming from the front middle of the block Although the bolts of the water pump also drip the whole time So would this be coincidence today that the Y2 tank failed..after mounting new water pump..? Maybe degassed not properly..? I replaced the Y3 tank half year ago.. And I removed the water pump today for nothing My back is sore now from hours under the car on stands.. Maybe I bring it to the Citroen dealer!! Argh! First I thought the skf pump has not correct o ring but seems impossible! New oring .. 30 Euros! SKF Pump 55 or Citroen pump 200... Anybody thoughts? |

Well my 6 was leaking 2 weeks ago after pump + thermostat housing replace (with timing belt etc). It was leaking from the hoses fitted to thermohousing, it seemed that the o-rings on those hoses failed even they looked fine. I just replaced with about same size o-rings and no leaks for me anymore. Cost of those was 1€. I replaced all but the biggest one with new o-ring. |
