Was a member on here a good few years, ago when i treated myself to what at the time was the cheapest c6 i had seen..... Well after various other odd machines which include a v6 3.0 hdi C5 which i enjoyed til i broke it, i have today bought another c6. I always said if i found a black one with the light interior i would, and i have. I have badgered the previous owner to let me have it when he was finnished with it and today was the day. I dont expect it to be a great car but will enjoy while it Lasts.

Crikey,

are you hard on cars or just pessimistic?

The C6 is a car to respect, which is why you have returned to it I presume.

I hope you enjoy your new wheels while they last!

Cheers Fraser

I am very hard on my cars.. And i always buy at the [%*^#@!] end of the market because of that. At £1000 its gotta be worth that in bits if need be... So far so good.. I do have na nnoying rattle from the rear drivers corner somewhere, trim rather than suspension, and the susp fault seems to come on occasionally when i have passengers. Other than that all is well...today. tomorrow could be a different story.

Just out of curiosity how much fun is the C5 with that 3.0 V6 HDI engine, and what finally killed that car? I'm aiming to get either a C6 or a 3.0 V6 HDI C5 next year very torn over which to do, heart says C6, head says C5.
Annoyingly a C6 that ticks almost all my boxes has just come on the market but my finances mean i have to wait until mid next year

My c5 was a gold 10 plate exclusive 4 door 3.0. With 70 ish k on it and one owner fcsh. The gearbox started juddering , it is now repaired and with a new owner in england somewhere. I prefer the c6 , as with every time i buy a big citroen, i need to try and just enjoy it rather than feeling its going to break at any moment. All my other quirky weird stuff seems to feel bomb proof by comparison , including a couple of old tired xjs

DHallworth Has had a C6 and is currently driving a 3.0 HDi C5. He told me that he loves both of them for different reasons.

Its purely the 0-60 speed of it that makes me want one, 7.6 sec coupled with the hydroactive suspention is just so appealing. What i have never got my head around is why the 3.0HDI C6 on paper has exactly the same 0-60 as the 2.7HDI at least according to parkers.co.uk anyways. I've decided though that getting a 3.0HDI C6 is just not going to happen as there is what less than 30 of them in the UK? and if it does not have the dark interior with the lounge pack and preferably in black i don't want it i'm going to really struggle to get one if that config has even been bought by anyone in the 3.0.

Leefee, you going to get a pic of your new C6 up? Would be nice to see though the old one has the look i want.

Hi guys, potential owners, renewed owners etc and welcome to the forum.

It looks as though banger owners and boy racers are joining the rest of (us) comfort cruisers: so diversity and inclusion applies.

Best regards
G
