After installing a new radiator a few months back due to a leak, i needed to replace the frontal plastic area over the rad. So i decided i might as well start replacing all the plastics in the engine bay and clean up the engine bay. Its looking much fresher and cleaner almost new now. Replaced the sound installation under bonnet as well (sadly engine no quiter yet).

So its onto replacing the hydraulic tank next with a new unit and some new spheres and a fresh refill of fluid for the new tank.

Did any eagle eyed members notice anything different about the new engine cover?

Good try frozenbeard! But no. It's quite subtle, and here's a good hint. It's to do with colour.

Is the black which should be a matching Gray?

Hi Norman, also very close, but almost correct!
When you said "Is the black which should be a matching gray," what else is black but shouldn't be on the new engine cover?

V6 HDI is painted black or a very dark gray.

Also no stickers on the plastic cover where the engine compartment joins the bumper.

Hi eduardomaio,
Well done, I'll give you 10 out 10 for that because the total oil stickers were not present on the new rad cover, but the new hydraulic tank I bought has new stickers!!

I think this engine cover might also be in use in the current Citroen vans with the 3.0 hdi engines.

Also, the cover extends over the coolant components...

Finally got the time to install the lastest hydraulic tank i had bought a few months back along with 4 litres of new LDS fluid. Installed new Spheres on the front as well. Riding much nicer now! All was fine, but needed a well deserved upgrade to freshen the system back up. Very happy with the front now. Onto the rear for an investigation and some new parts if needed. Next up this weekend is the fitting finally of a much needed new oil sump pan! Who knows how dirty that might be!

New alternator fitted just last week after suddently finding a strange sound on startup from the accessories belt area. Anyway after working out that it was coming from that area, i thought with the Winter soon to arrive i might as well change it now, before trouble comes. All nice and quite now.
