I always keep my display in it's "highest" position and I never got why would anyone tilt it downwards. Therefore, why this function exists (not that I mind having it)?

Shorter people might want it tipping down? Not sure really. Could also be to take it out of the sun due to reflections?

It's simply overdone. Have really tried to find any sun glare, moving my head around. Never found any glare motivating a separate engine control...

But's original! ;O)

Perhaps it's just not sunny enough where you live?

Sun strike here has occasionally lit up the entire dash screen which was alarming until I realised what was happening after a second.

Frankly, I don't have a clue... In the beginning I fiddled around with it, with or without sun glare, whether polaroid sunglasses or my favourite non-polarized Ray-Bans on my nose, it didn't make the slightest difference. Oh well, just a little French gimmick, absolutely useless but a nice show-off.

regards, Robert

I am glad I can tilt the display. In my car I changed to a Hi-Res screen and possible to the higher light intensity of the screen, I really need the tilting capability.
