I have just been reminded that the date I chose for the convoy falls on Mothers Day! So unless people want to treat their mothers to lunch in Coventry and a 90 minute convoy ride in a lovely car, which I think is unlikely, then the date needs to change. The new date will be SUNDAY 13TH MARCH.

I'm afraid I can't make it to Coventry but will be waiting to greet the 'convoy'
at the closed Citroen factory in Slough...assuming 4 to 5pm?
Regards
Peter

Around 3 to 3.30pm would be more like it. Sorry to hear you can't join us from the start.

60 also means you'll be bearing down on lorries that'll dawdle.

One wish about the C6 is radar cruise control. Would make life just that bit less stressful

Then there is only one solution to this speed dilemma. Middle lane hog at 60mph!! Lol!!!!!!
PS- Are you going to join us?

But seriously, what I think we will need to do is tuck the convoy into a sizeable gap between trucks and then stick to a cruise control limited 56mph.

whow!! that would be great! I wonder could it be possible to get a setup. What would that require?

Radar unit in front grill. Would need a Cutaway somewhere in the lower middle.
wiring harness back to engine BSI, ECU

I wonder how much that bit of kit would come to I wonder

That would certainly be wonderful. Being able to set the cruise control to a maximum cruising speed and when the road ahead is blocked, reducing speed to that of the vehicle in front, would be high on my wish list. Surely it could be done without body cutting. Sensors could be sited in the grill above the number plate and between the driving lights presumably?

With respect to 321dave and FraserG, this is a thread trying to recruit people for a C6 convoy, not a thread about cruise control. Lol!! And incidentally, are you guys gonna come along?

very sorry, i see your point. Would love to but unfortuanetly to many small people at home at the moment. But that will change in year or so. Then ill be trying harder. And hopefully the car will be more or less looking and running well by then.

Yes apologies FFF, I'm easily distracted. Sadly I can't afford to take part in the convoy as airfreighting 'Celeste' from Auckland to the UK is a tad expensive for me. If you guys are ever over in this neck of the woods, I would love to do a run here together.

Come on you apathetic lot!! LOL!

There is more to owning a C6 than getting it repaired!

Be part of the C6 convoy and do your bit to increase public awareness of this awesome car.
