Hello all,
I joined this forum a couple of years ago when my C6 was going swimmingly. This year it seems there has been problem after problem. The seat position motor has failed on the drivers side, the back/front motion, not the tilt motor.

Citroen Main dealer wants... wait for it...
around £1200 here in the UK to replace it, as they say it comes as one unit including the seat frame! This seems ludicrous to me, but then again entirely probable.

Anyhow, does anyone know where I may get a replacement motor from as my friendly local garage will have a go at fitting it? I have been told there are three variants - the one I need is for the Lignage 2.7 diesel, 2007 year model.

As always any advice would be greatfully received.
Thanks and Regards
Mark

On a related topic, my driver's seat height adjustment motors don't move the seat but make a clicking sound instead when operated (sounds like jumping cogs?).
Sometime when I have time I'll take the seat out to see if I can spot the problem, but meantime has anyone else had/resolved this issue please?
All comments gratefully received,
Thanks,
Robin

Interestingly enough - that is exactly the symptoms I have with my motor. I could live with that if the faulty motor controlled the tilt, but backwards/forwards motion is an MOT failure so it will have to be sorted. Thanks to all in this forum for some very useful replies.

Hi Steve - great tip off. Spoke to Robert - the most helpful person ever, who is going to whip off a motor from a spare seat and send it up to be fitted by my local garage. So at around £50 all in, a considerable saving off a new seat.

So thanks again for great advice - SORTED!
