Radio code?

 I wonder: Do I need a radio code after the car has been powerless, for instance after a change of battery?

And if so, could a workshop provide me with such a code, since I don´t have any?

 There is no 'code' to enter as head units are coded top the cars Vin and will be fine even after disconnecting the car battery
