I'm sure most of you have heard about the Citroen Conservatoire and how its not open to the public. Well I made an enquiry about a private visit and received some interesting information. They will do private tours for groups of 20 or more for just €7 admission! I was wondering if maybe we could do a C6 convoy to the Conservatoire in 2016. Thoughts please.

I believe pre booked tours are available Monday to Friday all year round except during August when it's closed due to the summer holidays. Up to 40 people at a time can do a tour but a minimum of 20 are required to set one up. Tours take place between 09.30 to 11.50 and from 13.30 to 15.50. The Conservatoire is in a suburb of Paris and the journey time from Calais is just 2.5 hours so its very doable.

I've been twice, and it's marvellous- Denis Huille, the last major domo, really knew his stuff.

There is the "last of the last" C6 there, it was bought back from the owner at, I believe, e 80 000.

I sat in President de Gaulle's car, but I didn't get to drive it anywhere.

Well 2016 is almost upon us and here I am bouncing this thread to get it noticed again. I would very much like to visit the Citroen Conservatoire in the early part of 2016 but due to Citroen having a minimum party size of 20 people I need your help guys and gals. The plan would be to drive our C6s in convoy down there on one day and back the next with an overnight stay. Unless of course anyone feels this is doable in a day. The Conservatoire is only in the suburbs of Paris after all.

It's time to firstly decide on a suitable date for a visit so I can run this by the good people at Citroen. Once a date is set and Citroen have confirmed its OK it will be time to start drawing up a firm list of those that wish to go. So........

Does anyone have a preference on dates?

NOTE TO STEVE AND DAVID...Is there any chance this thread could become a sticky or put somewhere more prominent so visitors can't miss it or ignore it? Thanks.

Simon,

I don't think making this a 'sticky' is beneficial, don't forget that as each post is added it regenerates the topic.

on a side note, I'm afraid I won'e be able to go, I've got to much on this year......

Is it still open- I'd heard that it is now closed pending a move to Mulhouse.
