Lads,

Apologies, but as of 20.00 last night there is now one less C6 3.0 HDi On UK soil.

It wasn't in the plan but yesterday we said goodbye to our 06 iron grey C6 and are now the proud owners of a December 2009 3.0HDi in pearlescent black with cream interior.

I had given up on the idea ages ago but unknownst to me, herself was regularly watching the internet and managed to get first in line for this one.

Looking forward to posting on 3.0 HDi matters.

Best regards,

Phil C.

Steve,

I checked the forum and see that the first owner is/was a member called Alan.
On the advert my wife did say that although it appeared on Autotrader it did not come up on a simple Google search and was difficult to find!

By the way, may I order an XL hoodie in black?

Best regards,

Phil C.

You will find that the engine is much nicer in the 3.0 HDi but beware of those speed cameras as it just wants to run away with you

Thanks Dave.
Already drove it from Yorkshire to Holyhead via Liverpool yesterday and only now know what you mean. The engine is very different - sound, behaviour. It doesn't growl like the 2.7.
Best regards,

Congratulations on your purchase.
I knew the first owner Alan, he lived near me and joined us for a C6 convoy run to the Citroen Car Club 'X rally' at Burghley House a few years ago.
I guess it's the one that was subsequently owned by Nigel; I saw it advertised for sale recently.

Thanks Hattershaun,
Yes that's the one. Did Alan abandon the Citroen route?

I m not sure what car Alan's driving currently.
He had the C6 as his company car on a 3 year lease with Citroen Contract Motoring (CCM)
The end of the lease coincided with his retirement, so I think he was going to change cars anyhow.
I remember him offering it for sale through the forum prior to it being 3 years old.
In the end it was returned to CCM and it was then sold by a Citroen dealer, I guess to Nigel.

I hope you enjoy driving it.

Thanks Hattershaun,
Strangely enough it ended up with Halliday's in Northern Ireland before Nigel bought it.
Best regards,

Phil C.
