Had my 2008 C6 2.7HDI for almost a year now. Been largely amazing after a few early niggles (new wishbones, bushes and a dodgy door handle). As it came with a Select Approved Used warranty, I want to book it in for a service before that expires. Can anyone recommend a Citroen Main Dealer in the Bucks or NW London area with C6 experience? My nearest is Worleys in High Wycombe, anyone ever taken a C6 there?

I took mine to Worleys and they were useless, saying they'd never seen one and that I should go to Slough.

It's a real shame that Citroen garages are so poor, it really lets the side down.

Slough were great sometimes, useless others... but at least they've got the tools to work on the 6. As others will agree, Forge in Cookham is the best indy in the region and probably best to pay to have things done there than waste your time with a Citroen dealer!

Good luck!

I have taken mine to Worleys, for a replacement bonnet, some two months ago. (Yes, it's a warranty claim!). Their Peter Ostrowski (spelling...) used to work in Cookham, alongside Ray at "the other garage", and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of old (i.e. DS) Citroens.

However- mine was the only other C6 there, and that only because they are the nearest dealer.

Forge can do warranty work- not bodywork- and there's always BL in Welwyn.

My C6 was booked into Worleys to have some work done, but I had to cancel when the car broke down in Sandhurst and I had it towed to a nearby garage to be fixed. So while I can't comment on the standard of workmanship, I can confirm that they were willing to work on the car.

Worleys did fix the handbrake on my old C5 for free a few years ago after another Citroen dealer forgot to attach the cables properly when changing the brake pads, so on that basis they are the best Citroen main dealer I have ever used. In fact, out of the five Citroen main dealers I have used in the past eight years, they are the only ones not to mess anything up.

So if you must use a main dealer, Worleys is probably your best choice. However, as others have said there are some excellent independent specialists around too.

Thanks all - on balance then, it looks like I'll be heading to Slough.

My car has been to a main dealer - Masters, Beckenham - who were not too bad and sorted the wishbones on warranty... eventually. But I've also been to BL and will probably go back to them after this.

No, Ped, they've gone to Coventry- went more or less a year ago. Worleys and West London are now the only main agents, or Farnborough, I believe.

Citroen even answer their telephone..."Peugeot!"

The Citroen main dealer, Sportif, in Chalfont St Giles have a technician experienced in matters C6. I've not used them myself, another forum member and friend has used them and speaks highly of their ability.
BL Autos work on all my cars & I'm very happy with their abilities.

Citroen head office moved to Coventry 3 years ago and the dealership closed in May 2014.

Yep, they are in Coventry, about 2 miles away from me in a HUGE Head Office, possibly paid for by all the C6 parts we have purchased!!

The other option is Slip End Garage, 5 minutes from J10 on the M1, between Luton and Harpenden. I have used them quite a lot whilst the car was still in warranty and they are competent, if a bit unenthusiastic. I'll probably start using BL now that my need/ use of the car is more recreational than professional, which means that servicing and fixing is less time-critical.

The forum member is probably me (unless your friend is also on here). Got my car from them and always get the work, service etc done by them as well. Helps that they are only a slight diversion on my way to/from work (Watford to Stockley Park (West Drayton/Uxbridge))
