Anyone know any good places in Leeds? Car has blown up on journey here, need reliable repair before returning South. C6 coolant leak repaired in Wokingham last week, now completely over heated today on motorway...... coincidence ..... ? |

Difficult one as your in a bit of a black hole for C6 ownership but, for an independent near to you try Ray Calvert C&C Motors, Quarry House Garage, Dudley Hill Road, Undercliffe, Bradford, BD2 3AA - Tel: 01274 630333 or Mobile: 07833 741938 Ray is a long time Citroen Specialist and does look after a couple of C6's - Read the Google Reviews - Click Here - After that, it's a trek out to Broach Hill Garage, Driffield who are a highly experienced and highly regarded main dealer. Details - Click Here - but ignore the lack of reviews, I have been there and other CCC members use them |

NB, if you have previously suffered coolant leaks followed now by overheating, there is a distinct possibility that there is an underlying head gasket failure. Follow the various threads annd posts on this forum, many people have suffered from the thermostat housing failure: for my money, you need a check for combustion gas in the coolant as apparently the C6 diesel can leak gas into the coolant without there ever being any oil in water (or water in oil). Best regards G |

Thanks for replies. Actually I have the car in what seems to be a good garage in Horsforth. sadly, head gasket failure has happened. Aluminium head vulnerable once over heated ... Also there is a diesel supply leak (presumably related to engine over heat- damaged pipe or even pump ) to be investigated. I have agreed to head work....costly. Am I mad ? Opinions greatly valued ! |
