Thought it would may be of interest to see other members classics and guess what they are.
Start with this 1951 Paris salon show car that I found and returned to the UK and restored some years ago with its British built rolling chassis.

Parts of it look like a Bristol but given you say it's a Paris car, I don't know what it is

The cars rolling chassis with boxer engine and torsion bar suspension was sent from the UK to Turin Italy and was built with a body at the Stabilimenti Farina works.
This Farina was one of four by Giovanni, Pinin Farina was the younger brother.
Designed in 1949/50.
After completion the car was exhibited at the 1951 Paris salon and the sold to a Parisian.
Then lost until found in 2001.
The make is a Jowett.

I once got "escorted" by a pair of Aventime's coming back from the CXM rally at Little Horwood, when I was in the C6.

anyway, Here's my up and coming classic: 97 Xantia 3.0 V6 Exclusive

Besides the 52 Traction Avant, I have just acquired one of these, an XJ40 3.2s as I gave up looking for a DS due to poor condition/pricing of those available

Wow all lovley motors, mark28 is that a 316 1.8?

Had a SM and did the mods on the engine, chains renolds tensioners and quill shaft, wrote it off in the south of France.

Rebuilt it with the great help from Andrew Brodie for spares.
Sold car and now is resting in a motor house with under 25000 miles.
The SM of mine never had A/C or a sun roof, on a hot day all vents open with windows and travel at high speed, what music.

Dave the Jaguar is sure to be a classic, I still have one XJ6 MK1 somwhere with a Daimler XJ Soverein MK1 that I thought may never be collectable.

Shaun, was your green GSA the one at Classics on the Common this year? I love the GS and have always pondered going for one as my first "classic".
