As michaelb says you undo the two Torx screws (T10 from memory?) which are in the small holes at either side of the head unit facia panel. You will need a long torx bit or screwdriver type as the screw heads are too recessed for a normal socket set type bit. The head unit then simply pulls out. The 'extractors' are probably for RT4 when used in other Citroen/Peugeot models.

Necro time ... I got a cable fitted to my RT4 unit today (well colelcted the car today). If I put a pen drive in I get a Recognising CD message (as you do with a firmware/speedcamera/map update), but then nothing. The drive is set up as follows D:\>dir Volume in drive D has no label. Directory of D:\ 19/03/2009 10:39 55,731 BUILTINS.OUT 19/03/2009 10:40 77 BUILTINS.OUT.inf 28/01/2012 12:03 111 POI_VER.POI 27/01/2014 13:50 <DIR> UPG 27/01/2014 13:49 <DIR> CMD D:\CMD>dir Volume in drive D has no label. Directory of D:\CMD 27/01/2014 13:49 <DIR> . 27/01/2014 13:49 <DIR> .. 13/11/2009 11:12 7,566 CONFIGFLAG.CMD and nothing in the UPG folder. Am I missing some thing ? I'm running firmware 8.31 so could this be an issue as well (i.e. too high). Cheers for any help |

Now sorted - was missing the POI_UPGRADE.CMD file from the UPG folder - if I'd just uncompressed the Mirascripts zip on to the USB drive it would have been fine

Hello, I'm planning on installing the 6574.JH cable to play MP3s in my new C6 and I was wondering whether the system is very picky when it comes to USB sticks? I would like to buy a 128 GB USB 3.1 one. It should be backwards compatible with the systems' USB 2.0 standard, but I'm not sure whether the size will confuse it or not? Otherwise I'm aware that it has to be formatted to FAT32 and that the max. number of songs recognised can be updated via the Mira script. Merci! |

Hi, I googled “6574 JH USB” and after a while found it on a polish (or czech?) website called Allegro, kind of their version of eBay. Found both an original one from an ex Citroën dealer who had some old stock left and a not-so-original one from a different seller. You can try to see if there are any left on there, otherwise I also remember seeing a few Chinese ones on eBay. They all had brown plugs for some reason, but I imagine they should do the job just as well : )
